A new user does not have this problem. size (same for my user and a new one): min: 50 max 4096 If I change the min size to 1100, the full space is used, but of course also when only one application is open. This is better, but not how it should be :) -- open applications do not use aviable

Update: The problem seems to be gone... I played around a bit with the size values and did a reboot after that. After that, i saw a red X between application tabs and the desktop switcher. It was an without name or symbol but with type Application. I removed it then from the panel and the full
