I have tested 12.10 Beta 2 using a USB drive created with usb-creator

This works properly on the following hardware:
Asus EeePC 2G Surf
Dell Mini 9 (Inspiron 910)

This fails on the following hardware:
MSI-7437 (Black Screen, Precise using USB works)
Intel DG965MQ (Boot Error)
Virtualbox 4.1 Virtual Machine hosted on Lucid (Freezes Host)
