+1 here, I have put an upstream bug-report also. The show-stoppers seem
to be libboost-date-time1.33.1 , libboost-filesystem1.33.1 and
libboost-regex1.33.1 which are the dependencies for it (also upstream) .
Seems to be some issue with libboost & hence broken.

I also would like a newer version of Monotone in Ubuntu, for the same
reason (Pidgin). Monotone is up to 0.35 right now, and their source
package includes a "debian" directory with Debian package information. I
followed the instructions on dpkg-buildpackage and pbuilder at
https://help.ubuntu.com/u
