Maybe because I can do whatever after minimizing my windows and kwin
crashes. Run a new application or click again icon "show desktop". I
agree with rebegin about doing it after upgrade to Feisty. When I
installed fresh Kubuntu on other desktops, there wasn't a problem.

when kubuntu was upgraded from edgy)

Confirming this for my Feisty on a Thinkpad Z61m. I didn't find a pattern yet,
but it crashes often! The launchpad bugreport tool is never started for this
bug.. thats why i only report it now.
My kwin crashes about 30% of the time after i pressed my keyboard-shortcut
win-d (-> show desktop) tw
What can I do to help to solve this problem? I tried it several times.
Mostly it crashes. I do it to see my conky, so I killed conky and tried
once more and kwin crashed. It is enough when I minimize all windows
(win+tab) a do it once again. So it crashes always when I minimize all
windows and do s
I tried it several times and nothing happened, everything seemed all
right. But after an hour I minimized all windows, clicked on icon SD
card, safely remove and kwin crashed. Report is in attachement.
I have following application running: Firefox, Thunderbird, Sim,
Krusader, Ktorrent, Konqueror,
I tried it with several constellations and I cannot confirm it here on
feisty.

anyway, i don't remember any special application running(usually
running: browser (opera/firefox), amarok, kmail, akregator,
superkaramba, kalarm, klipper), but i'll check this deeper tomorrow.

this happens most of the time when i try to check my desktop (karamba
for example)...i'm running kubuntu on a fujitsu-siemens a7640 laptop,
but this also has happened to me on a desktop computer. would you like
to see the output of the lspci, or something else?

Do you have common hardware of some sort or an exact way to reproduce
this 100% of the time? Possibly a particular application that is causing
this?

I can confirm this bug. It happens to me regulary from Kubuntu Dapper. now i
use Fesity and the bug is still exixst :(
i attached my crash report. i don't even need to start and app, just clicking
twice to the show desktop icon is enough to crash the kwin(for example when i
want to check some in
