Public bug reported:

Hello,

I've recently upgraded my kernel to ubuntu-3.5.0-18.29-generic 3.5.7 and
my laptop touchpad is not recognized anymore, whether by xinput nor by
lspci. Moreover, I do not find any clue of detected touchpad in
/proc/bus/input/devices or in the xorg logs. (Sorry for not quoting
command results but the copy-paste between firefox and terminal is quite
complicated without a mouse...)

As a result, the mouse do not respond at all, whether by pointing nor
clicking, although the mouse icon changes when it detects a link or a
text input zone.

Except this, the xorg logs are completely normal and correspond exactly
to the devices listed in input/devices.

Thanks,

Alix Deleporte
