Still exists in 10.10
It refreshes after right clicking on epty space in thunar file list window.
then clicking file shows new item. but that should change on changing in
properties default app for file.

Still present in Xubuntu Intrepid (8.10). After changing a file type
association the file (in Thunar) needs to be unselected and reselected
again before the change shows up in the right-click menu.

I can still reproduce it with Xubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Tribe 4
In some cases the list will never update even if a new app is selected as
default. For instance, I right-clicked on an SMI file and selected Helix to be
the default player. Helix opened it (but failed to play due to an unsupported
