Even though kernel.org recommends to run a linux-distro with the newest
stable kernel, this is not possible with some packages installed in
Ubuntu that need own Kernel modules.

The status fix committed is incorrect as no package has been uploaded into
ubuntu official archive to solve this problem.
The proposed patch needs to be converted into a debdiff, or a correct packaging
branch merge proposal needs to be made with correct debian/changelog, etc.

Thanks for your support, I did something different:
I got the virtualbox deb sources directly from oracle and inserted them
in apt. Then I installed the virtualbox-4.2 package which works flawlessly.
