Strange thing was, I tried guest account and unity worked. I'm guessing
it's something wrong in some config file? What configuration does guest
use?

By the way, at least for me, this seems to happen at random. Many times
(most of the time, actually) the unity plugin is shown as supported in
.xsessinoerrors, but others it isn't.
