I'd say that card is a different card to what I have have you tried looking up

I am experiencing the same issue with an Avermedia card connected to my Ubuntu
12.04 machine. Everything is recognised except the tuner. dmesg shows the same
bttv: 0: tuner absent message
Manually specifying the tuner with the tuner parameter when modprobing bttv
does not help.

Could someone make sure that I have the right kernal package. I'm
running debian testing (linux mint) so I'd like to know what is the
latest mantanance kernal for debian/ubuntu. I could also just build the
latest stable development kernal. I don't think this is fixed though. It
was working in

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.7 kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both
the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.
