You should be able to try this fixed package in proposed and see if it
works for you. See Comment #4. In response to your comment #5.. it
should be enough to try it on 32 or 64 bit.. You don't need to do both.

Ubuntu Lucid is no longer supported on the desktop. Because of that

To manage
Confirmed that the bios is present.
Note that the /usr/share/qemu/ symlink to it does not exist. As the bug
reporter wanted the link for use by grub, I think that should be fine.
If it's a problem, I don'tmind doing another upload adding the file to
debian/links.

I am sorry, I cannot test the build on a i386 system for I have only a
productive AMD64 system on which I could install the package.

Thanks for this bug report. Could you please tell us which release you
are seeing this in? The vgabios package does provide
/usr/share/vgabios/vgabios.stdvga.bin on my raring laptop.
Could you also tell us exactly what you are trying to do? Does 'dpkg -l
| grep vgabios' show the vgabios
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server
vgabios package is installed, version 0.6c-2ubuntu1
According to the file list, only vgabios.bin and vgabios.cirrus.bin is
included.
Thank you very much!
