Public bug reported:

When Synaptic or Automatix try to install new software, the system
(Feisty Fawn) shows this:

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct 
the problem. 
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

If I try to enter dpkg --configure -a in the Terminal, it says:

la operaciĆ³n solicitada precisa privilegios de superusuario (the request
operation needs superuser privilegies)

So, I can not use Synaptic or Automatix, and also can't reiniciate dpkg
by terminal.
