I believe that this bug has been corrected in Ubuntu hardy
openoffice.org 1:2.4.0~rc2-1ubuntu3 so I am marking it as Fix Released.

I can confirm it too.
This is quite serious itrritation in corporate environments with a
central CUPS server for people who open lots o OO applications.
