These are special formatting lines, in your case most probably paragraph border
lines.
I believe you have AutoFormat (see Format-AutoFormat) enabled.
With AutoFormat enabled these lines are added by typing (for example):
---ENTER
===ENTER
___ENTER
etc.etc.
Each of these lines will have a
