Public bug reported:

I've been trying to get hybrid graphics working on my Dell Inspirion 15R
and I get the low graphics mode when starting up. This is on Raring.

I have tried fglrx & fglrx-updates from the restricted archive, AMD
sources, and the fglrx-updates found in ppa:andrikos/ppa and all fail
the way. The X server seg faults every time (see attached Xorg log). I
have also tried the workaround at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/ATI#WORKAROUND. I
even downgraded the xserver-xorg-video-intel package to the one found in
ppa:andrikos/ppa.

I will also add the info from apport-collect to this bug.
