Public bug reported: The printer at work that I use is HP LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M425dn. Ubuntu 12.04 supplies HPLIP 3.12.2 and it does not support that printer; http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install_wizard/index.html http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/laserjet/hp_laserjet_400_mfp_m425dn.html
I had to remove the old driver and install the latest version manually from: http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/install/index.html I think the driver stack should be updated/backported to support newer printers provided that Ubuntu 12.04 is supported till 2017.
