Public bug reported: I connect to the internet with a Huawei E220 3G dongle. For some reason, Ubuntu's built in wireless broadband manager doesn't work. I have to use the wvdial workaround to get it to work.
However, this does not register as a connection in the top panel. Also, it does not register as a connection in the Ubuntu Software Center - so I cannot download any programs through this. It's a rare problem, I am sure, but pretty annoying for me :( apt-get works fine of course, but how can I donwload steam through apt- get? ;) ** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1125693 Title: Ubuntu Software Center doesn't work with WVDial To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/1125693/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
