I duped it because I am reasonably sure that the gettext recommends
causes apt to do really stupid things down the line.
If you add the winehq PPA, which is largely the same as the current one
except it doesn't recommend gettext, what happens?

Ahh hmm, I see the issue, it seems that libgl1-mesa-glx is both a real
package and a Provides of the libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal package. I'm
not sure what the proper solution for wine is here, the problem is apt
will prefer the real libgl1-mesa-glx package before installing the
-lts packages

Don't see the relationship with bug being duped to.
In this case gettext is irrelevant, the issue is that
libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal:i386 will not be installed as
libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-quantal doesn't
