The 'dynamic' option didn't work for me. Appears not to manage lack of DNS. It is the lack of a valid DNS that causes NTP to fail And NTP isn't yet designed to cope with DNS changes/missing DNS. Apparently there has been some discussion of making DNS queries dynamic on one of the mailing lis
