Sean David, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
This problem affects me to. Xubuntu 13.04 on an Asus K55DR.
Would the kernel Sean links to work for me too?
Oh yeah. I'm a novice user. I haven't got a clue about how to install
it.

to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.9 kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both
the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.
