Public bug reported: 1. Boot Ubuntu 7.04 LiveCD (Ubuntu 6.06, 6.10 worked fine, 7.04 - not) 2. When trying to change monitor brightness/contrast etc. with OSD menu (trying to press buttons placed at front panel of monitor), monitor shows that OSD menu _is blocked_. This problem ("menu is blocked") REMAINS after rebooting to Ubuntu 6.06, Windows XP SP2. Problem appeared during the boot process (I've tried to increase brightness). Menu is not accessible now (I'm under Ubuntu 6.06 now.)
Monitor is Samsung SyncMaster 757NF. It contains such function as controlling brightness and other parameters (which also accessible via OSD menu) through USB. When I booted Ubuntu 7.04 USB cable was _not_ plugged into PC. There is software under Windows (MouScreen 2.0) to use this features. Video card is nvidia x6600. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Monitor OSD menu is blocked after launching Ubuntu 7.04 LiveCD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116622 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
