Can you provide the excatly command or commands workflow you have used.
That may be helpfull to user users that might run in this issue. At best

nope: I use the "sudo update-manager -d &" command option to upgrade the
ubuntu dist from 12.10 to 13.04.
I solved the issue right now woth cleaning the cache by apt-get options

I do not know the content of the package ubuntu-minimal, but the logs
show that the generic kernel is affected, which makes this here a
serious thing.
A adapt the summary to this.
