either cryptsetup needs to be taught about our new libdevmapper, or libdevmapper's behavior must be fixed to behave exactly like in other distros. I currently don't know enough about the debmapper API, so I'm subscribing keybuk, as I know he does. -- [gutsy] cryptsetup luksFormat fails.

Our devmapper does behave identically to other distros. The only difference in our package is a worthwhile patch to resolve a race condition in the code between stat(), unlink() and mknod() -- changed to stat(), mknod(), rename() -- [gutsy] cryptsetup luksFormat fails.
