I'm not intimately familiar with wpasupplicant but it seems to be a
configuration issue given the following in your log file:

Sorry about that - I am both new to Linux and Ubuntu so didn't know how best
to describe the issues experienced.
The bug submitted would be best assigned to the wireless networking issue.
