Today I wanted to try latest version of synaptic in saucy repo hoping that it would work after latest updates but it failed me again. I still use synaptic 0.75.12build1 version. I like synaptic but that bug is really annoying. I wonder if that bug affects certain architecture, hardware or distro?

Mint 16 uses an older version of Synaptic - 0.75.12build1 - because of this very bug. After I've reported this bug and some other ones to Clem (during RC testing), he made the decision to downgrade Synaptic to avoid the bugs. So, of course the problem has disappeared because that version is not
