Since in Home results coming from a scope are merged and collapse into
single category, suggested apps would be mixed together with recently
used applications if both where displayed. So it's a better option to
display suggested apps only in the Software Center.

Suggested apps and recently used should be divided. Whomever coded it
like that clearly wasn't thinking long term and now is not

The specs clearly state, what the rationale of the smart scopes project
is.

The roadblock seems to be that the old stuff is kinda hard coded, so is
not such a trivial fix.
I never expected this to get done

Even if you keep putting up excuses of an outdated design choice, you
will still need to find ways to fix all those irrelevant dash results.
Else the dumb-scopes is useless at is current stage.

This is by design: apps in Home should only include installed apps.
More suggestions in Applications scope is the only place in the dash
where additional apps available from S-C should be listed.
While it would be relatively simple to display suggested apps in Home,
it would mean they would be

This not about suggestions included in the home lens all the time.
The topic at hand is Search results. They are not smart because
they're not returning anything useful to the user when you type in
Steam, Gimp, chromium,
