I found some troubleshooting documentation that helped out. I wound up
editing the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. In the "Monitor" Section, I put in
the HorizSync and VertRefresh values for the Hyundai L90D+ display that
I looked up on their web site: HorizSync 31-80, VertRefresh 56-75. I
rebooted and
when its not a widescreen 19 inch try: screen resolution:1280x1024
did you succ. install de ati drivers?
do you have direct rendering?: glxinfo|grep direct

Well, I tried both those commands and didn't have any luck. It DID add
a 4th option to the resolution list (1152x768 @ 55 Hz) that I didn't
select when running the command. And it also doesn't work at all. My
display says "Video mode not supported" when I select it. It times out
and goes back t
run: sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
everthing default, screen resolution:1280x1024
