Public bug reported: When I plug in two and more usb mass storage devices, kde (3.5.6 in kubuntu feisty) mounts them automatically after confirmation by the user and the respective icons appear on the desktop.
After unmounting any one of them (right-clicking on the device icon and selecting Safely remove), it is not possible to unmount the remaining devices, since the option "Safely remove" disappears from the menu. A workaround is to open Konqueror, select "Services/Storage media" tab (or typing media:/ in the address bar) and right-click on the usb device icon: here the option "Safely remove" is still available. But it would be great if the desktop icon works as expected. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Tags: desktop feisty kde kubuntu mass storage usb -- unmounting usb devices via kde desktop icons problematic (feisty) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119787 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
