This seems to be caused by a problem in the mu4e package scripts.

This seems awfully similar to LP bug #1150593 -- do you have an
unofficial version of the org-mode package?
I am setting the Status of this bug report to Incomplete to mark it as
pending on further input from you. Once you have supplied the requested
additional information, it can be changed
If that doesn't work, http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=686113 suggests to try to (remove mu4e, then)
install emacs24-el, then reinstall mu4e. If that works, please follow
up here so we can confirm and possibly help others with the same
problem. Thanks!

Uninstalling mu4e allowed emacs24 to finish installing correctly.
Afterwards installing mu4e succeeded too. This seems to have solved the
issue for me.
