You didn't actually give me the command output I asked for, but your output makes it quite clear that there is no $XDG_SESSION_ID. This sounds a lot like bug 1244463, can you please give me the output of grep systemd /etc/pam.d/common-session? If pam_systemd is missing, then it's that bug. Thanks!

Reopened as I just re-tried Saucy. I didn't have access to control netwokring, audio or printing by default. I was able to get audio and webcam by changing group permissions, but upgrades from Raring to Saucy make the desktop unusable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a
