Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

I am also losing the top and bottom panels when I switch workspaces. When I
first start up, I see 4 workspace icons at the lower right of the desktop, but
if I click on one to go to that workspace, I see nothing except the background
wallpaper, and the ctrl-alt-arrow keys do not seem to do
