Public bug reported: When I copy I file from my notebook to any other device (e.g. SMB share, USB Stick, etc.) than the copy time is calculated by the reed speed of the origin - and not by the write speed of the destination - what would be the expected behaviour.
That is not a nautilus bug, because the same happens in terminel with midnight commander - mc - ... The whole file is cached in ram - but on an ssd that means - after 2-3 seconds nautilus and mc show the file as copied and nautilus than often freezes - but in system statistics you can see him now writing to destination. sometimes nautilus than wakes up and continue to work, and sometimes it doesnt... why is this calculated this way...?
