Well, sorry, I neglected this bug.
Still, now that Ubuntu 7.10 is out (Gutsy), I guess I at least have to ask if
this is still happening with it.

I had the problem on KUnuntu 7.04. After i'm passetd to Ubuntu 7.04, i've
installed ntfs3d and i'didn't had the problem. Now i've installed Ubuntu
7.10 and i don't have the problem.

Yes the files are the same. I think it can be possible, I have an italian
system but some files i can't see are spanish that can have special
characters as ñ, I've tried to install spanish language pack but nothing
changed.

A previous comment suggested that it was file with non-ASCII characters in it,
does it seems to be the case?
