Title:
ubiquity starts but does not appear
Hello,
This bug still occours in daily build 20131009 amd 64bit iso.
After reading the other comments in another topic, i decided to remove the
ubiquity-plugin-ubuntuone. It worked.
Currently installing.
PS: Before this attempt, i used the Install ubuntu whatever option of
unetbootin. I was
stgraber xnox: so it looks like bug 1226912 is caused by webkit (in
the ubuntuone plugin) being somehow unhappy and ending up waiting for a
lock when ubiquity is started as a normal user. Starting ubiquity as
sudo ubiquity appears to workaround the issue.

I've tried the Final Beta of Ubuntu 13.10 and this still is a problem.
ubiquity will not show it's GUI upon clicking launcher icon or the one
on the desktop and the process is active in System Monitor.
I'm using a loopback boot option for the 13.10 and the Try Ubuntu
without Installation option.
I can reproduce this problem using image from Ubuntu 13.10 Beta 2
(2013-09-25). My hardware profile is at Bug #1227652. After Removing
ubiquity-plugin-ubuntuone it is possible for run Ubiquity.

If you goes to Install Ubuntu boot option, and quit it, it is possible
to run ubiquity in ubuntu desktop without problem.

LiveUSB created by UNetbootin to a 8GB USB Drive and the installation
done successfully and Ubiquity was working JUST FINE and YES, I have
chosen: Try Ubuntu GNOME without Installation so from my side as per
my tests,
