SOLVED!
This is because of the '-4' parameter. I have gotten this parameter by
looking at a connection done with Terminal Server Client. I now found
that by omitting that paramter and running version 5 instead this
problem disappears.

I've tried compiling and running the latest version of rdesktop from
www.rdesktop.org, I can see the same problem there so it must also
affect upstream? What I cannot figure out is that I cannot read about
others having this problem.
