@smoser, I just tested your most recent fix to simplestreams (revision
319) and it seems to fix the problem. I had a successful run in our
lab.
Until a package with the fix is published, this can be fixed manually:
$ sudo su
$ cd /usr/share/pyshared wget

Accepted simplestreams into saucy-proposed. The package will build now
