This only affects my recent builds of vim, 7.4.103 and 7.4.92 before
that. It doesn't affect the gvim from the Saucy repository, built by
pkg-vim-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org, which is 7.4.000-1ubuntu2.
(I leave it in /usr/bin/gvim.) I've just built that version from apt-
get source, and
I've seen it happen so far when launching gvim and firefox from the
terminal.

Title:
Gvim Glib-GObject Warning when starting gvim in ubuntu
Echoing #2. These warnings appear for other programs too, not just vim.
For example, when running terminator:
/usr/share/terminator/terminatorlib/terminator.py:87: Warning: Attempt to add
property GnomeProgram::sm-connect after class was initialised
self.gnome_program = gnome.init(APP_NAME,
Hope I'm not muddying the waters, but I see the same warning happening
in other programs as well (eg quodlibet). Perhaps this should be
resolved generically in gnome and not in vim ? Just my 2 cents
This is what I get on quodlibet startup in 13.10:
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
** Changed in: vim (Ubuntu)
Status: New = Confirmed
