I had the same issue (whether using the repo version or a cabal build of
1.11) but it seems to be solved from v1.12 upwards, i.e. it doesn't seem
to be a packaging issue. This is probably due to the switch to pandoc-
citeproc (instead of using haskell-citeproc-hs directly), as well as

Sure you are using the cabal version? You can find out by trying pandoc
--version. If not, you might need to alter your path.
