hope than someone takes a look at how it was fixed in 2.0.14 perhaps
backports it.

@crosser: Good to see a fix... but can it be fixed for the version in
Saucy? If I understand correctly, installing Cinnamon 2 from the PPA
breaks Unity... which is not acceptable for multi-user systems.

I have the same problem. After clicking on the panel, the keyboard and
mouse buttons don't work.
