Ubuntu 13.10 + 14.04 Catastrophic Random Kernel Crashes
For me it wasn't related to the kernel at all. I'm currently running a
Trusty install that I installed on another machine on my Sabertooth
990FX and it's been working fine. I haven't tried installing 13.10 or
14.04 from scratch yet though.

following in a terminal while booted into a Ubuntu repository

going to reinstate the linux (Ubuntu) task for now. Hence, could you please
boot into Raring, and execute the following in a terminal:
