nvidia-319-updates has been compatible with 3.11 since the 319.49-0ubuntu2 release in Saucy (and we're at 319.60-0ubuntu1 now). If it doesn't compile, then it's probably a bug free to file a bug report about it. It's not compatible with 3.12 though. I've just tried to install the package in a
