I can confirm this as well. I saw a similar problem faced by inkscape in Gutsy for which there is a bug on launchpad as well. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/inkscape/+bug/122299 However someone has commented there that the fix was released for inkscape. It could be a similar problem
