I can confirm this as well. I saw a similar problem faced by inkscape
in Gutsy for which there is a bug on launchpad as well.

inkscape. It could be a similar problem
I can confirm this also. I for one would also like to see the latest
version of the MySQL GUI tools packaged for Ubuntu. The ridiculously
old version in the repos is one of the only things that really bugs me
about Ubuntu, since I can't seem to get the new version running by 1)
using the
The binaries from mysql.com works fine for me. It's just the one in the
repos that is broken. Haven't tried to compile from source.
