Thanks, it works. Can somebody correct this bug? I think that it's a
really bad one, because you can't upgrade from feisty directly.

I tried to do the timezone fix like Jeff and the others, but I can't. I tried
with 4 diferent timezones and the problem still there.
I was upgrading from Kubuntu Feisty amd64 to Gutsy. I had to install a previous
version wich works.

I used the timezone fix like Jeff Rasmussen and it worked quite well.
When I was finished, I switched it back to my timezone and everything
still generally works. Although I have a never error, it doesn't seem
to be related.

I can confirm this bug too. To fix it, I just had to change my timezone
from (America/North_Dakota/Center) to (America/Chicago).
It looks like the second forward slash is not anticipated in the post
installation script.

I fix that, you only do that:
Uninstall tzdata, ubuntu-minimal, locale, languages packages, ubuntu-
utils. and others packages that can't upgrade. Then install all the
packages that you uninstall before
I do that from synaptic, but in terminal work too I think.
Good look, Greets

I can confirm this issue with Kubuntu Gutsy AMD64 in spanish (locale is es-AR),
it first appeared when I dist-upgraded.
I solved it downloading the source package (apt-get source tzdata), and then
compiling it (cd tzdata-2007f;debuild -us -uc). If you install with dpkg the
resulting deb file it
