Hello,
ttf-georgewilliams isn't installed anymore and the monospace fonts in
thunderbird is still very ugly.
It is a shame the just the installation of arbitrary fonts can just
change so many settings in a

here is a list of fonts that are installed on my system (7.04):

This happens in Gutsy. The default aliasing for Monospace is to DejaVu
Sans Mono.
The replacement is pretty catastrophically thin and small.

Which version of Ubuntu are you using?
You should be able to select the monospace font you want in
gnome-font-properties (System - Administration - Font Properties).
