Public bug reported:

I got a SSL certificate from EssentialSSL (intermediate), Comodo (root)
and this certificate is not validated by Ubuntu.

I tested with both CURL and Python and with the same result, certificate
is not validated.

All major browsers do recognize the certificate as valid.
