Public bug reported: User "root" (where the installer is running) may have a '.wgetrc' file specifying directories (or even host-directories). If so, wget in SUSV3.POSTINST will put the download in one place, but the script will not look there -- it will look in $TMPDIR.
This could easily be avoided by specifying -nd -nH on the wget command line. Really, it's not nice to make too many assumptions about the user's (root's) configuration. ** Affects: susv3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1265069 Title: The POSTINST script tries to unzip/untar from directory other than wget output To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/susv3/+bug/1265069/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
