In Ubuntu 15.04 beta Scratch still displays a blank black window (which
is unusable) when you exit presentation mode :(

version?
Also you could check with different desktop environment, for example
with GNOME fallback (named GNOME-Flashback in Ubuntu 13.10 and 14.04).

anymore, since Scratch 2.0 is entirely web-based.
