Public bug reported:

mplayer2 cannot play files over Samba in Trusty.  Attempting to do so
results in "No stream found to handle url".

My preliminary investigation reveals that the cause is that mplayer2 is
not building against libsmbclient.  In the build log file
(https://launchpadlibrarian.net/159938058/buildlog_ubuntu-trusty-
amd64.mplayer2_2.0-701-gd4c5b7f-2build1_UPLOADING.txt.gz), it says
"Checking for Samba support (libsmbclient) ... no ".
