The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the
live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy

This is a problem with the window manager when enabling 3D effects
(Beryl/Compiz). I did not have Desktop Effects though, but somehow my window
manager was not the default metacity.
