How is this a bug? The default webapps container in ubuntu is based on
webbrowser-app, so it has to be present. The actual dependency tree is:
webbrowser-app
webapp-container
unity-webapps-service
unity-webapps-common
ubuntu-desktop

Well, when we consider that ,removing IE in Windows was impossible, was a bug,
then this is no different.
As we have already firefox installed on the system, why should we install
another webbrowser? Perhaps we could also add openoffice to the installation by
the way.
