Private bug reported: After installation on a UEFI enabled system, the boot path in the Boot* variable is set to:
\HARDDRIVE(1,MBR,4ed80301,0,0)\FILE('\EFI\ubuntu\shimx64.efi'). However, the actual boot path should be: \ACPI(0xa0341d0,0x0)\PCI(0x0,0x1)\PCI(0x0,0x0)\NVMEXPRESS(0x1,0x0) I'm pretty sure this worked when I tested it a month or two back, so I'm not sure what's changed. The target drive is an NVME SSD. ** Affects: grub-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Dimitri John Ledkov (xnox) Status: New ** Information type changed from Public to Private ** Description changed: After installation on a UEFI enabled system, the boot path in the Boot* variable is set to: - \HARDDRIVE(1,MBR,4ed80301,0,0)\FILE('\EFI\ubuntu\shimx64.efi'). + \HARDDRIVE(1,MBR,4ed80301,0,0)\FILE('\EFI\ubuntu\shimx64.efi').
